It was believed that the notion of soulmates were originated by the Greeks. According to Greek mythology,our ancestors were once a creature consisting of two heads, four hands and four legs. They were punished by a god whom they had offended and their middle were split resulting in two separate humans. Our punishment was to spend our entire lifetime, searching for our other half- our soulmate.
